Children's Ministry- Infants to 11 yrs old
At First Baptist Church of North Highlands we focus our attention on ensuring that at an early age children are learning and developing a special, personal relationship with Jesus Christ that will carry on a lifetime. Children will be taught to praise the Lord with all they do, trust in the Lord. We want to make sure that every child knows that each new day is a gift from God. Children learn these important lessons through various activities such as Sunday School, Children's Church, Children's Choir through lessons, discussions, and related fun and interactive activities that assist students in learning. In addition, children and parents are encouraged to collaborate with take home exercises and activities that allow parents to be involved in what there child(s) is learning.
Youth Ministry- 12 to 17 yrs old
Soapbox Ministries at First Baptist Church of North Highlands is all about teaching youth how to stand proudly and unashamed of their faith. Here we practice real world scenarios in sharing our faith. We look to be bold and stand on God's word as we share the Gospel with love and passion.
At this stage they are being introduced to more complex lessons from the Holy Bible such as Salvation, Accountability, and Power of Prayer. Youth get to practice their faith in inviting others and witnessing through their own lives. Our goal during this critical stage in life is to ensure that they are familiar and comfortable with trusting and receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that everyone is called to minister the gospel one way or another whether it be through speaking, song, dance, mathematically, writing, and observing everyone has a unique place in the Kingdom. Therefore, students are taught to recognize and embrace their talents and special gifts the Lord has blessed them with.
